Admire one of the oldest and most iconic tile shops, as well as churches that reflect the opulence of the former Portuguese empire. Stroll through the historic Bairro Alto, home to the world’s first bookstore, and immerse yourself in the modern and chic Príncipe Real, where ancient palaces house design boutiques, gastronomy, and local crafts. The experience culminates at the magical Príncipe Real Square with an unforgettable fado concert in unique venues, where your location will be privileged: whether it’s the eclectic Pavilhão Chinês bar, the underground Patriarchal Water Reservoir, or the extraordinary Neo-Arab Palace, each offers an unparalleled atmosphere where fado resonates with unique depth.
On Thursdays, you can enjoy the Pavilhão Chinês, a bar-museum with 5,000 collectible items, in an exclusive room to feel the essence of fado. On Fridays and Saturdays, we will descend beneath the Príncipe Real Garden to attend a concert that highlights the architecture of the ancient Águas Livres Aqueduct. On Sundays, we’ll enter the heart of the 19th-century Neo-Arab Palace Ribeiro da Cunha, now called Embaixada, with multiple shops reflecting Lisbon's past and present.
The Chinese Pavilion and the Neo-Arabic Palace have bar service, but it is NOT included in the tour.
On Thursdays, Fado performances take place at the "Pavilhão Chinês" On Fridays and Saturdays, Fado performances take place at the "Aqueduto das Águas Libres". On Sundays, Fado performances take place at the "Palacio Neoárabe Ribeiro da Cunha" (Embaixada).
You will walk for 2 hours, then attend a 1-hour fado concert in unique venues, always accompanied by a guide.
